We are going to use this blog to give you news from our shootings and about equipment, etc. While we will not cover all of our shootings it should still give you some insight into our work. For registered users we plan some "behind the scene" info, "making of´s" along with tips from the pros.

Beside that registered user are going to be informed about special deals in a newsletter. We hope you enjoy reading and are looking forward to your feedback.

Behind the Scenes

Carmen Stamboli (Miss Austria 2011) und Ihr Freund und Partner Fabian Plato engagierten uns vor einigen Monaten für ein besonders tolles Projekt. Sie übernahmen für zunächst 4 Jahre die Organisation der Miss Vienna Wahlen. Sie hatten dafür nicht nur großes geplant, sondern setzten ihre Pläne auch um. Es gab einen fantastischen Event zum Finale am 28.3. in der Wiener Hofburg (mit einer mehr als würdigen Siegerin Yemisi Rieger) sowie einige Vorwahlen, Modeschauen und nicht zuletzt einem spannenden zweitägigen Workshop mit Choreograph und Laufstegtrainer Alamande Belfor, Sprechtrainerin Petra Falk, einem Shooting mit Manfred Baumann und vielem mehr. Usere Aufgabe war, den gesamten Event festzuhalten und zu einem kurzweiligen Film zusammenzuschneiden. Das Ergebnis dürfen wir Euch hier präsentieren.

...Luftaufnahmen auf den Malediven

Wenn man lange nichts von uns hört, heißt das zum Glück nicht, dass wir lange nichts tun. Im Gegenteil. Die letzten Monate waren sehr ereignisreich.
Die schönsten Wochen verbrachten wir wieder einmal auf den Malediven. Zweck der Reise diesmal: Luftaufnahmen bei einem Stammkunden. Leider hat das Wetter trotz optimaler Reisezeit nicht so mitgespielt wie wir uns das gewünscht hätten und so war ausnahmsweise ein wenig mehr Entspannung möglich als üblich. In Österreich lief es leider ähnlich und so warten wir schon seit Monaten auf ein ausgedehntes Hoch, damit wir Skiaerials machen können. Ansonsten müssen wir leider wieder in die Tropen ausweichen und Strände fotografieren.

Weddingvideo or weddingfilm?

Almost a year ago, we´ve been photographing our last wedding. Now, 12 months later we are back, but not shooting still images, but rather moving images. From now on we will offer high-end Weddingfilms.
A Making-Of-Video with Miss Austria 2011 Carmen Stamboli for one of our collegues, Peter Berger and Blütezeit wedding magazine put the idea into our heads and the breathtaking feedbacks to our first two weddings drive us to continue the work.

However, we clearly want to distinguish our work from weddinvideos. What we offer is weddingmovies. Our goal is to achieve a cinematic stlye that awakes emotions not only within the wedding couple and the guests, but also people that don´t even know the bride and groom. Do we succeed? Decide for yourself.

...with special perspectives

Insiders know: we like to carry heavy equipment. But usually it´s worth all the effort. Just like yesterday when we shot a booth on the Europerio Exhibition - a fare for Peridontologysts. Perrywherrywhat? OK, people like us usually call them dentists, but they don´t particularely like to be called by that name ;-).

Our client is Totalarea a high class booth builder from the Netherlands. We took photos and videos of an very extraordinary booth on that trade show.

Besides regular perspectives, we thought it might be nice to cover the booth from a higher point of view and so we took a very heavy and high tripod with us. It is equipped with a radio controlled panoramic head and delivers previews and images straight to the notebook. Unfortunately we had to carry the tripod because the exhibition centre thought only booth builders have heavy equipment but photographers don´t. Oh well...

Anyway: up into the air, choosing the right composition and there we go.

...sondern auch ´mal auf Schwarz

Wie treue Blogleser sicher wissen, fotografieren wir auf üblicher Weise auf weißem Hintergrund.

Es gibt aber einfach auch Motive, die man unbedingt auch auf schwarz fotografieren muss. Ein Klarlackpiano gehört da ohne Zweifel dazu.
Dieses Bild ist eine kleine Fortsetzung über die bereits erwähnten Spiegelungen. Ein schwarzes Piano auf schwarzem Hintergrund ohne Spiegelungen besteht auf dem Foto praktisch nur aus Tasten. Erst Reflexionen zeigen Umrisse und Konturen und heben das schwarze Piano vor dem schwarzen Hintergrund ab.

Das richtige Einarbeiten von Reflexionen bereits beim Shooting ist sicher eine der Königsdisziplinen der Fotografie. Neben entsprechendem Know How ist aber auch hier der Ausstattung eines Studios entscheidend. Ohne ausreichend Platz wird der Hintergrund nie wirklich schwarz und ohne entsprechende Beleuchtungskörper und Biltzköpfe gibt es keine hochwertigen Reflexionen.

...remove and create

reflecting surfaces, like this piano are quite difficult to shoot. On the one hand you have to remove unwanted reflections, on the other hand you have to add reflections to show the glossy surface of the product. While you can especially add reflections in post, some clients ask to give real reflections while shooting which was exactly what we did with this beautiful piano.

It´s important to have plenty of space to move and remove equipment and other objects. Our huge cyc wall is perfect for this kind of challenges, giving us even the possibility to shoot from high up, getting great perspectives.

...Synchronized swimming high and dry

The first shooting dealing with olympic sports is done. We still take applications though, so don´t hesitate.

Since the water is still pretty cold outside, we chose to start in our studio. We had two perfect models - twins - the output was great. It´s just great fun to shoot with professional athletes.
